Submission guidelines:
Author Responsibility
The journal accepts only original work that has not been published elsewhere. All authors must confirm that neither the manuscript nor any part of it was written or published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere. Publication of the content as an abstract during the proceedings of meetings is not considered prior to publication and can be submitted for publication.

Abstract: (Max 300 words):
- A single paragraph and subheading (optional)
- Keywords (maximum of 6) [Medical Subjective Heading MESH terms)]
Introduction:
- The purpose should be clearly stated
- Background information on the research should be provided
- Definitions pertinent to the understanding of the article should be provided
- Support the merits of the case with a detailed literature review
- Introduce the research to the reader
Hypothesis: For original research and systematic reviews, a hypothesis must be stated.
Methods:
- Subsections recommended (i.e. research design, patient population, recruitment, etc.)
- Ethical approval No and Consent for human research discussed (if applicable)
- Confirmation of statistical method/findings
Results:
- Tables/data clearly labeled and presented
- Confirmation of statistical method/findings
Discussion:
- Justify the uniqueness of the research
- Compare and contrast the research to the known literature
- Discuss background information
- Discuss results
- Discuss limitations
- Discuss future implications/research
- Discuss the impact on the ultrasound/medical field
- Tables, figures and/or graphs are well labeled
Conclusion:
- Relate to objectives identified in the introduction
- Summarize the findings and the application to the practice of contact lens science and research Less than 1 paragraph

Information on publication in biomedical journals: Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals are available on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) website http://www.icmje.org/.
Editing and proofs: One set of page proofs in PDF format will be sent by email to the corresponding author. The author does the proofs, but no essential changes are permitted. The authors are requested to return the corrected proofs within seven days after their delivery. Corrections of proofs will not be taken into consideration if they are not received on time. The author confirms that the submitted work will be published and made accessible on the Journal website by confirmation of proofs.

AWARDS: Every year JUPD announces the best-downloaded article (based on downloads) and best-cited article (based on citations).
Young Researcher Award: Editorial board recommends original research publishes by a Postgraduate student as a first author every year.
Duration: Nominations of these awards are invited from January to December every year. The achievers of the previous year will be announced in the first issue of every year.
